African Gold appoints MD for new gold subsidiaryFriday, 1st October 2004 (2460 views) African Gold Group has announced it is appointed a managing director for its new Ghana subsidiary AGG Limited.Benjamin Adoo has over three decades of mining experience in Ghana and is seen as one of the most senior mining executives in the country. Under his new role Mr Adoo will, in the main, be responsible for the development and strategy of AGG's growing operations in Ghana and give lots of time to the identification and acquisition of new precious metal properties. In addition, he will need to set up strong relationships with mining and related entities in Ghana and the West Africa sub region. President and chief executive, Kevin J. van Niekerk, claims the move is further evidence of AGG's commitment to build on the current foundation established in Ghana and boost its efforts for extra opportunity on the African continent.
