A new group has been set up to help boost research in the precious metals markets.

Formed by GFMS and ROC Associates, the alliance will begin by providing a monthly publication that reviews the performance of precious metals over the previous month.

In addition the mining sector and its developments will also be analysed.

GFMS CEO Paul Walker commented: "The new monthly will provide an excellent complement to our existing suite of precious metals publications.

In addition, together with ROC Associates, we are already working on developing other value added services for the precious metals markets that will be launched within the next few months."

ROC Associates is an independent market analysis company and specialises in metals markets analysis and comment, with specialist areas including gold.
