NovaGold has announced that its gold-silver-copper project at Galore Creek in North America is progressing well.

According to the mining firm, drilling at the creek has led to significant expansion and could mean the southwest deposit could connect with the main central deposit.

A key aim of the 2004 drill program is to establish areas where there are high levels of precious metal mineralisation.

One of the drill holes has discovered considerably higher-grade gold and silver, which also starts close to the surface.

These initial drill results have been welcomed by the company and show a strong potential for expansion.

NovaGold is focused on creating value through development and exploration of high quality mineral properties in North America.
