Chief executive, Bernard Swanepoel, commented: "The current Randfontein operations are mature in nature and will in the short-term benefit from the introduction of CONOPS. "Benefits will however be more evident as its Doornkop South Reef growth project comes into production. Negotiations for the implementation of CONOPS at our original Harmony operations continue." CONOPS will be implemented at the company's Free Gold, Target, Evander, ARMgold and Elandsran operations as well. The Doornkop South Reef project is set to produce around 3.75 million ounces of gold in total. CONOPS or continuous operations, refers to where a mine operates on all days of the year.
