PMI drilling programme reveals positive resultsFriday, 10th September 2004 (2501 views) Canadian mining firm PMI Ventures has revealed that final results from its drill programme on the Ashanti II Gold Project have shown gold values.Although the results are positive, further drilling will take place later in the year to ascertain the prospects of ten other targets. "The discovery of gold values in the new 3DIP anomalies is considered by management to be a very significant development, especially since they are hosted by major shear structures with spatially large geophysical responses," the company explained to Mining Weekly. To establish a clear idea of exact structures a high-resolution magnetic survey will also be conducted. The new site is based on the Asankrangwa Gold Belt in Ghana, West Africa.
