Thursday, 9th September 2004 (4221 views) Canada's Gold City Industries has announced it has received a permit to build a 200 tonne per day mill and tailings facility.<BR/><BR/>The sites are part of its Greenwood Gold Project in British Columbia and approval is still subject to detailed design approvals.<BR/><BR/>If the permit does go ahead it will help the company create the first new metal mine in the area since 1996.<BR/><BR/>Fred Sveinson, president said: "Our project team has received full co-operation from the departments of the provincial government involved in the approval process and we also appreciate the support given by the Boundary Mining Association and the local communities."<BR/><BR/>The Greenwood Project is one of the company's assets that it has agreed to sell to Jantri Resources and it is currently discussing a merger with San Gold resources.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3384362"/>
