Security measures have been boosted for members of the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) in a new venture with Transguard.<BR/><BR/>One of the aims is to provide members with an armoured vehicle service for transporting precious cargo.<BR/><BR/>Mr. Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman of DGJG told AME Info: "We are extremely proud of this partnership with Transguard and are committed to continue providing better services and benefits for our members. <BR/><BR/>"The gold and jewellery consumption in Dubai is particularly significant and state-of-the-art infrastructure advancement for all our members will help position our emirate globally as the hub of choice for gold, jewellery and precious stones."<BR/><BR/>Gold and jewellery traders will be able to send and receive items safely at the Gold Souk itself meaning movement will be more convenient, faster and less expensive.<BR/><BR/>In addition the service will be offered to members at special rates.<BR/><BR/>Reportedly there are 25 tonnes of gold jewellery on display in the Gold Souk shops at any time.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3201923"/>
