Thursday, 1st July 2004 (4158 views) Vancouver miner North American Gold has announced a new joint venture gold exploration deal in Finland.<BR/><BR/>The firm has joined forces with Minmet to develop and define gold projects in the country under a property option and joint venture agreement.<BR/><BR/>Buck Morrow, president of North American Gold told Business Centre: "This strategic association is a continuation of our excellent relationship with Minmet and is a natural extension of our existing operations in Sweden.<BR/><BR/>"Like Sweden, Finland is a mining-friendly country with high mineral potential and a favourable political and social climate. We are mobilizing field crews immediately with a goal of identifying drill targets by this fall."<BR/><BR/>The new deal will see Minmet providing eight properties and other assets, whilst North American will give one property and the first 100,000 of exploration spending.<BR/><BR/>A joint venture between the two companies is already in place at the Barsele project in northern Sweden.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=2939120"/>
