Saudi gold demand on the increaseThursday, 10th June 2004 (2605 views) Gold demand in Saudi Arabia has experienced an increase, according to a new report by Gold Fields Mineral Services.Latest figures show that demand in the area grew by 11 per cent in the first quarter of this year compared to 2003, according to Yellow Brix. It is thought that consumption for the first quarter stood at 38.8 tonnes for 2004. Reports suggest demand appears particularly high due to a withdrawal in gold consumption in the same period last year.
