Thursday, 10th June 2004 (3998 views) Gold demand in Saudi Arabia has experienced an increase, according to a new report by Gold Fields Mineral Services.<BR/><BR/>Latest figures show that demand in the area grew by 11 per cent in the first quarter of this year compared to 2003, according to Yellow Brix.<BR/><BR/>It is thought that consumption for the first quarter stood at 38.8 tonnes for 2004.<BR/><BR/>Reports suggest demand appears particularly high due to a withdrawal in gold consumption in the same period last year.<BR/><BR/>Gold Field Mineral Services is an independent London-based consultancy and research company.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=2798103"/>
