Gold production in Russia is performing well with latest figures showing a significant increase in just a few months.<BR/><BR/>According to the Gold Producers' Union, production of the precious metal in Russia has risen by 10.6 per cent in the first four months of this year.<BR/><BR/>In addition, by product and incidental gold production grew by 27.6 per cent to 3.72 tonnes, although mine production fell.<BR/><BR/>The Union also told Interfax that recoveries from scrap and secondary production rocketed by 190 per cent to 3.847 tonnes.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=2798117"/>
