Reserve boost announced at gold mining firmThursday, 6th May 2004 (2660 views) Minmet has revealed an increase in its gold reserves in Sweden this week.The mining and exploration company announced that gold reserves in its north Sweden mine in Bjorkdal have increased by 31 per cent. Commenting on the reason for the gold increase, the company told Ireland Online: "Bjorkdal mine has benefited from the relatively strong SEK gold prices". Gold prices in Swedish Kronor (SEK) reached their highest levels in April since January last year. In addition Minmet has also experienced a 23 per cent increase in the gold grade.
